Extreme Connect 2025 brought customers, engineers and technology partners together in Paris to see the direction of the Extreme Networks portfolio and examine Extreme Platform ONE in practice.
For Panacea, the important question was not simply what had been announced. It was how the platform could change the daily work of teams responsible for complex wired, wireless and Fabric environments.
One operational view
Extreme Platform ONE brings networking, security and AI-assisted operations into a unified workspace. The goal is to reduce the time teams spend moving between separate tools and assembling information before they can understand a problem or make a decision.
That matters in multi-site and high-consequence environments. Network teams need a clear view of service health, configuration, clients, policy and security context. Bringing those signals together can shorten investigation and make routine work more consistent.
Automation with engineering judgement
Extreme presented AI agents and workflow automation designed to move repetitive tasks from hours towards minutes. The value is strongest when automation supports a well-understood operating model: clear standards, reliable data, controlled change and engineers who can validate the outcome.
Panacea sees Platform ONE as an opportunity to simplify operations without losing technical ownership. Automation can help surface issues, organise evidence and carry out repeatable processes, while experienced engineers remain responsible for architecture, risk and the decisions that affect live services.
What customers should do now
Organisations do not need to begin with a wholesale platform change. A useful first step is to identify where fragmented visibility, repetitive administration or inconsistent policy creates the most operational friction. That creates a practical basis for evaluating which Platform ONE capabilities will deliver measurable value.
The strongest outcome from Extreme Connect was a clearer view of how unified management, automation and security can work together. Panacea will continue testing those capabilities against real customer requirements and sharing what proves useful in production.
